Doug Davis wants another chance

First Erik Bedard chimed in. Then Jarrod Washburn. Now Doug Davis makes his case to be a Brewer.
Hey guys, remember me!? Man, has it been a long time or what? Huh? What do you mean you don't remember me? I pitched three seasons in Milwaukee! I went 37-36 over parts of four seasons. Man, the stuff Sheets and I used to get into. He's still around right? Oh, well I'm sorry to here that.
You remember me though right? The tuna fish guy? Big tuna?? YEAH! THAT WAS ME! I KNOW RIGHT!
Look, I'm gonna cut straight to the chase with you. I want to be a Brewer. Arizona sucks. It's hot, it's hot and boy is it hot. Seriously, it's so hot down here cows are giving off evaporated milk! The other day I saw a dog chasing a cat and they were both walking, that's how hot it is down here. I miss that Milwaukee weather. This Phoenix weather is so damn hot that I saw two fire hydrants fighting over a dog! It's so hot the Kool-Aid Man had a heatsroke!
Seriously though, pitching for the Brewers game would be a great opportunity for me and I would love to help the team return to the postseason. It would also be great to know what the temperature is because my thermometer only goes to 120 down here!
This team needs a move to kick it in the ass. I could live with Dough Davis, assuming he’s cured his “7 walk” outings that he was so famous for in his first trip here.
Listen, they don’t WANT or NEED Doug Davis or any of the other guys you are talking about lately. If they are going to trade away Hardy or any other of there ‘good’ players they need an ace, Greinke comes to mind, or Halladay, that may be a bit pricey but they can’t come out of a trade with another number 4 starter, they have to many of them already.
SRD2…hate to tell you, but the options on this site are 100% more likely to be traded for than either of the guys you mentioned. It will take way, way more than JJ Hardy to get either of those guys. I would venture to say either would command more than what the Crew gave up for CC. Halladay has another year on his contract. I’m not sure about Greinke, but I still think he’s got a couple years of arby left. Not to mention the Royals aren’t the pathetic bunch that they once were. They’re finally starting to solidify their team and trading their young ace would be…dumb.
Do yourself a favor and stop dreaming. You’re only going to be disappointed.
Do they have a roof in Phoenix?
Ohh man…Doug Davis…he’s allright but I don’t think my liver or my wallet can take one of his 4 hour long starts. Beer guy loves DD!
SRD3….I understand that it is unlikely, and I know I’m dreaming, but like I said if they are just going to go out and get another number 3 or 4 starter whats the point? They need to lock up another ace that the rest of the staff can feed off of, kinda like Hoffman in the ‘pen. Let me dream, that is about all Brewer fans are gonna have the rest of the season if they don’t do something about the starting rotation..

It’s a long season. These stretches will happen. Though I’m personally really frustrated currently, I honestly think a guy or two will turn it around. At least enough to keep the Brewers in the race.

I heard Doug davies is gay- must be true
