There are ALOT of very hard working, very competent, struggling journalists in wisconsin today. the economy makes their situation even harder. witrado came out from LA, when there are countless wisconsin born, wisconsin educated who could do his job better... waaaaay better. The outrage is that Witrado has not earned his money nor position, which is a position in an extremely competitive field. as far as witrado goes, some people just don’t get why this is worthy of dissection and outrage.

There are ALOT of very hard working, very competent, struggling journalists in wisconsin today. the economy makes their situation even harder. witrado came out from LA, when there are countless wisconsin born, wisconsin educated who could do his job better… waaaaay better.

The outrage is that Witrado has not earned his money nor position, which is a position in an extremely competitive field.

I totally understand why this was said 30 years ago: "30 years ago, my grade school English teacher said that sports writers wrote the best of all journalists" I have all the respect in the world for Tom H, he puts his all into his work and goes waaaaay ( ;) ) above and beyond what he should be expected to do, but his writing pales in comparison to the real old timers. Again, Tom H is as good as anyone at his job in this day and age, but its that 'poetic' element that just doesn't exist anymore.
