The best tailgate party of the year returns

PANTS PARTY 3 TIME IS NEAR!

pp3-tshirtThis year's Pants Party is going to be the absolute best. For those of you who don't follow us on social media, we are doing the Pants Party 3 funding entirely through IndieGoGo. What does this mean? It means we have multiple reward levels designed to allow us to hold the biggest Pants Party yet. You want your name on your shirt? We can do that. You want a set a bags to go along with your tickets? We got that. You want to go to Saturday's game? We got you. You want your own booze? We got that too. Unless you want a blownado, we probably got you covered.

The party will be on Sunday June 23rd before the 1:10 game against the Atlanta Braves. (This is also Polish Heritage Day and everyone who actually makes it inside will get a Polish Sausage bobblehead.) The party will start as soon as they start letting cars in the parking lot. We will have all-you-can-drink beer, an additional drinking option (think jungle juice,) all-you-can-eat food (brats, as well as some next level tailgating food,) tailgating games, t-shirts, stickers and much, much more. I am not kidding when I say that it is going to be the best tailgate party of the year. It's going to be the best tailgate party of the year.

How much do I believe in this thing? So much I made this video. Continue reading »

MPD answers your fashion questions

Is it still proper to wear my Prince Fielder jerseys to Miller Park? My view is he gave so many great years of his career here, and many memorable moments. Obviously, one of the top Brewers of All-Time. So I say I am ok with wearing them, and I wouldn't pass judgement on others who do the same (but really people, the John Jaha ones have to go). What are your views on this MPD? - John

Is this a joke? Prince Fielder is a Detroit Tiger. The ink on his contract isn't even fresh and you want to honor his contributions to the team? Get a grip. Save that shit til 2020 when they give him a bobblehead and add him to the Walk of Fame.

I think people who think it's okay with wearing the jerseys of people who leave the team (the very next season, no less) are the same kind of people who think it's better to be friends with your ex instead of never talking to them again. What's the point? We got what we wanted out of them, had some good times and then things went south and you moved on. Prince Fielder is a Detroit Tiger, he doesn't love you anymore, it's time to move on. Continue reading »

ANNOUNCEMENT: Miller Park Drunk’s Pants Party

Hey, what are you doing Sunday August 29th? There is a Brewers game that day, you know. They're even giving away CC Sabathia bobbleheads. Remember him? He was the star of the last awesome Brewers team, remember? Man, those were some good times. Seems like so long ago.

So, you thinking about going? Because I am going and I have a few extra tickets and.... yeah. We're having a party.

More specifically we're having...

Miller Park Drunk's Pants Party

It's like a party, but in my pants. Except it's not in my pants, but I am just saying that to sound funny. It's actually at Miller Park. Yep.

Here's what it includes: Continue reading »

MPD Classic: 10 Reasons Bob Uecker is better than whoever your announcer is

Bob Uecker is having heart surgery and will miss the next 10-12 weeks. We wish Bob all the best and hope for a speedy recovery. In his honor we are re-posting one of our earliest posts, 10 reasons Bob Uecker is better than whoever your announcer is. A post that got me a phone call from the police and some nasty emails. Good times.

It's really not going to be the same without Bob Uecker doing the games though. His voice is synonymous with the Brewers and his daily rants are like nothing else in all of baseball. He really is the best.

Sometimes I wonder if most Brewers fans know how lucky they truly are. Sure, the team has never won a World Series and it was 26 years between playoff appearances. Admittedly that stuff sucks, but at the same time we've got Bob Uecker and you don't. Bob Uecker is one of the best announcers in all of baseball and probably one of the coolest guys in all the world. He's like the cool grandpa who buys you beer, plays beer pong with you and your friends, then proceeds to wipe the floor with everyone (If only that stereotype existed.)

We love Bob here and would love nothing more than to slam some Jack Daniels with him in the announcers booth. Now, here's 10 reasons why he is not only awesome but better than every other announcer in baseball.

To Go or Not To Go: An Opening Day Conundrum

I've been to Opening Day for the past three years now and this would be my fourth year in a row. Basically, since I moved back to Wisconsin I have gone to Opening Day every year. I've had good times and I've had bad. I've had girls hold my hand because they were drunk (or as I like to call it, second base), I've had a fight broken up because the other person liked Kobe Bryant just a little too much, I've gone crazy for my favorite player and I've dealt with that traffic that you see in the picture. It's always been fun, but so has every Brewers game that I've ever been to. (Well, except for that one.) I guess the question I am asking is, does a good Opening Day matter? Should I even bother? I mean, as a person who is kind of crazy about baseball, a person who spends a lot of his free time writing about it for free on a website, you'd think that I'd be a shoo-in for Opening Day, but lately I've been questioning it.
