Last week, we decided to hold a little Photoshop contest for our readers with a grand prize of a ticket to our Pants Party 3D on June 23rd ($35 monetary value, infinite fun value), and a Forward Fabrics shirt for the runner up. Entrants were given the amazing Morry Gash (lolz again... Gash!) photograph to the right as a basis for a funny Photoshop redesign of their own.
We received lots of submissions from a whole bunch of readers throughout the week, and we didn't even have to be desperate about getting people to participate at all. Chalk up another successful promotion for the MPD boys!
Actually, participation only climbed to upwards of three people. Yikes! Anyway, since we promised stuff to people, I thought we'd share the efforts and name the runner-up and winning submissions below. Continue reading »
Are you over the Brewers elimination yet? I know I'm not. Last night was the first game 1 of the World Series I didn't watch in my entire life. Seriously, I used to turn off Sesame Street to watch that sh-t. I didn't even gamble on it! I just want to pretend it doesn't even exist. It's a weird feeling being this depressed for this long, but I'll be over it eventually. It's like breaking up with someone really. Only if when you broke up with them you knew you were going to get back together in a year, you could check in on them whenever you wanted, they were going to make changes to make themselves better and that neither of you were going to see anyone else for the whole time you were apart. So, you know, the complete opposite of what every girl who has ever broken up with me does.
Still, it's good to know I am not alone in this. Plenty of other Brewers fans have been feeling this same sense of loss and pain. It's good to be together through this, isn't it? Glad you're here. Couldn't do this without you. What's even better to know is that the Brewers themselves are going through some of the same depression that we are and thanks to my standing as the Milwaukee area, baseball specific TMZ I have the pictures to prove it. As you'll see the funny thing about depression is that no two people handle it the same way and the Brewers are no different. Continue reading »
Sorry that this took a little longer than I wanted it to, but it felt very inappropriate to post this on Friday when the Brewers were playing for their playoff lives and then I spent the next two days feeling the effects of that game and well, you know.
ANYWAYS, I polled a team of judges (wezen_ball, Tyler Maas, Jack Moore and some random chick I know) on which one of the Brewer Kid meme pictures was the best and the results were mixed. No two judges picked the same favorite and it was hard to even find a consensus of what the top four were. Therefore I am putting the judging up to you. I don't want to drag this on for much longer so you have today and tomorrow to vote and then I will email the winner. Thanks to everyone who entered. If you'd like to see all of the entries you can check them out here, but these were our favorites. Continue reading »
